We've been making custom ice fishing rods for over 14 years. Tuned Up Custom Rods had its humble beginnings in my basement. With a consistent focus on building innovative and flawless rods, Adam and I have grown our capabilities twofold year over year.
TUCR makes poles out of fiberglass, graphite, and carbon fiber. Located in Minnesota puts us near some of the best cold and open freshwater fishing in the United States.
Our rods are purpose-built for ice fishing, but that is not all. With new lines of open water, spinning, and casting rods, we have a sizeable range to fit your custom fishing needs. We pride ourselves in achieving a balance of rod strength and rod sensitivity in your performance fishing rod.
Purpose Built
We fly our flag as ice fishing rod specialists, but as you will see, we can go beyond that with spinning and casting rods. The goal in building a TUCR rod is to focus on the needs and demands of the angler.
Through product testing with our Pro Staff, we can evolve our rod designs each year, incorporating the newest components matched to the best in rod blank technology, whether it is graphite, carbon fiber, or fiberglass.
The Materials
Tuned Up Custom Rods has Level 1 and Level 2 customization capabilities. We have six main lines of fiberglass rods:
The Deadstick, Power Precision, Fusion, Commander, LTP, and Vulcan. With each one of these rods, you can customize the length from 28 to 38 inches, trim color, and add any name personalization you'd like.
On our open water lines, we have three versions of our Apex series (Elite, Pro, and Custom) along with our Apex Elite Custom Baitcasting Rod. We extend the same customization capabilities to length and color as the fiberglass rods along with a larger range of grip options.
We do an amazing job of being able to reproduce the quality in each rod we make. You are getting a rod that may have fewer component customizations than some custom rod builders, but you are getting a rod that's been tested by professionals.
