Our rods are designed with specific applications in mind, and we offer two distinct styles to meet the needs of our customers:
The Materials
The unique characteristics of our rods include Fuji’s “corrosion control” alconite guides. The insert material in these guides makes them impervious to the grooving caused by braided lines, which often damage guides with cheaper aluminum oxide inserts. Additionally, the corrosion control coating vastly improves the stainless steel’s resistance to corrosion, ensuring the rods' longevity in harsh saltwater conditions.
Our grips are crafted from quality cork and sealed to prevent decay from long-term saltwater exposure. The 8” long grips offer a balanced mix of ergonomics, especially when wade-fishing or kayaking, and the leverage offered by longer grips.
Every rod I’ve built, whether for the Matagorda marshes, the Galveston surf, or the Corpus Christi jetties, is built to withstand the test of time and the harsh conditions found along the Texas coast.
